Sense Proteomic has developed a novel functional protein array technology which allows thousands of human proteins to be analysed in a single experiment.

Our primary focus is on using our technology to discover new biomarker panels to improve the clinical diagnosis of cancer and autoimmune diseases. We are carrying out this work both in-house and in collaboration with leading industrial and academic researchers. So far we have developed early tests for prostate cancer, lupus and non-small cell lung carcinoma that show high sensitivity and specificity.

The technology also has broad application in drug screening. Our Kinome 2.0plus product is used by the pharmaceutical industry to screen kinase leads against over 190 human kinases in hours using the array format. This considerably speeds up secondary screening by moving it in-house, although we also offer this on a fee-for-service basis. Future developments will extend this to other target classes.

We are currently seeking parters to use our technology in their own biomarker discovery programmes. For more details, please see our partering page.
